Accessibility

This website aims for WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what has been implemented, what remains to be checked, and how to report an obstacle.

Commitment

This website does not fall within the mandatory scope of the RGAA (the French General Accessibility Improvement Framework), which applies to the public sector and large companies. This approach is therefore voluntary: to make the website usable by as many people as possible, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.

What has been implemented

  • Semantic structure: a single h1 per page, a heading hierarchy with no skipped levels, and header, main, nav and footer landmarks.
  • Native rather than simulated components: the FAQ accordion is based on <details>, the choices in the booking process on genuine radio buttons, and the fields on associated <label> elements. Keyboards and screen readers support them without any additional code.
  • Works without JavaScript: forms can be submitted and the accordion opened even before the page is hydrated.
  • Visible focus kept on all interactive elements, with a high-contrast 2 px outline.
  • Contrast: an overlay is applied beneath white text placed on photographs, in order to maintain the minimum ratio of 4.5:1.
  • Text alternatives on meaningful images, and empty alternatives on purely decorative images, including the footer watermark.
  • Reduced motion: the prefers-reduced-motion system preference is respected and disables transitions.
  • Zoom and responsive design: the layout remains usable down to a width of 320 px and supports 200% zoom.

What remains to be checked

No formal audit has been carried out yet. The points above reflect design choices, not measured compliance. Still to be checked, in particular:

  • a full walkthrough with a screen reader (NVDA, VoiceOver);
  • automated and manual verification of all contrast ratios;
  • completing the entire booking process using the keyboard only;
  • how the text alternatives behave once the final photographs have been supplied.

Reporting an obstacle

If a page or feature is inaccessible to you, write to dinamarcellin@gmail.com, stating the page concerned and the difficulty encountered. You will receive a reply, and an alternative will be offered if necessary; you can always book an appointment by phone.

Means of redress

If you notice an accessibility issue and are not satisfied with the reply, you can refer the matter to the Défenseur des droits (the French Defender of Rights): formulaire.defenseurdesdroits.fr.
